The purpose of the Social Services Sub-committee is to identify and manage the implementation of the types of services required by a year-round community. The task undertaken by the sub-committee may include:

  • Identifing the wants and needs​ of the community with regard to social services
  • Prioritising the identified wants and needs​
  • Identifing the best routes to providing the identified services, including identifying:​
    • Physical infrastructure needs​ require by the service
    • Procedural/process routes to establishing the service (e.g. planning permission, RDKB approval etc.)​
    • Funding requirements​
